Ddolbeng Basketball
Basketball with your friends — sink it and step back
Play now
Drag the ball to aim and let go. A dotted line shows where it will go, so there is nothing to rush. Every basket moves you a step back, and further back is harder. All twenty friends are on the first screen and none of them is locked.
How you play
- Pick two friends. Any two of the twenty, and none of them is locked.
- Drag the ball down and a dotted line appears. Longer is harder, tilted goes sideways. Let go and it flies.
- Sink it and step back. Miss twice in a row and you come a step forward.
- Tap the screen as your friend shoots and you block it. Tap a ball that rattles out and you grab it.
- Ten shots each; whoever got further back wins. A tie goes to One More Step.
For grown-ups
- There is nothing to rush. The screen waits while your child aims, and a dotted line shows where the ball will go. The clock runs for one moment only, while the other friend shoots, and missing that moment costs nothing. It is the place we made for the child with slower hands, and for the four-year-old.
- The game finds its own level. Because every basket moves you back and further back is harder, a four-year-old and a nine-year-old fight over different rungs of the same ladder. A grown-up does not have to pick a difficulty.
- Losing is not punished. A miss makes no sound at all, and a lost game gets one line saying so and a button saying 'One more'. No red flash, no sad tone.
- No ads, no purchases, no account. The book stays inside this device and is sent nowhere. You can clear it whenever you like.
What you need
A browser. A phone held upright is best, and a tablet works the same way. With sound on you hear the net and the rim, and it plays fine with sound off.
